Villard-Reculas is a charming and authentic mountain village in the Oisans, a quiet and natural region in the French Alps, 45 km from Grenoble. This picturesque village is located on a southern slope at an altitude of 1550 m, in the middle of the mountain range “Les Grandes Rousses”. The ski area “Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski” is located at an altitude of 1300 to 3330 m.
In Villard-Reculas you will find everything you need for a successful holiday: a small supermarket, a sports shop (ski rental) ski school, tourist office, bar, restaurant and restaurant on the slopes (in summer on the mountain meadow).
It is easily accessible by car via the autoroute to Grenoble. From there via rural but well-constructed roads to the Oisans, to Allemont and from there you climb in about 20 minutes to Villard-Reculas, at an altitude of 1550 m.
By plane you can go to Geneva (cheapest and most options Easyjet) Lyon (KLM / AirFrance, Easyjet, BrusselsAirlines Lufthansa) and in winter also to Grenoble (RyanAir, Transavia). There are good direct bus connections from the airports to Grenoble and Alpe d’Huez (get off in Huez or Allemont-Rochetaillée).
